Bloemfontein - The Tom's Place murder trial will come to a conclusion tomorrow morning when judgement is handed down in the Free State High Court. Gilford Mahlakametsa, Hendrik van Schalkwyk and Rodger Siyale are accused of planning and executing an armed robbery at Thomas Ferreira's farm, Riversford, in 2011 - killing Ferreira in the process. A fourth suspect, Patrick Mabula, turned state witness last week. The state and the defence this morning delivered arguments before judge Albert Kruger. State prosecutor Francois Pienaar argued that the bullet point that was found in Ferreira's body which matches the gun used by one of the accused, and the fact that the three went to the farm with a firearm, proves that they should be behind bars. Ferreira was the owner of the Tom's Place filling station outside Bloemfontein.
