Unisa students vent anger to Facebook and Twitter─── 16:55 Wed, 08 May 2013
Unisa students have taken their frustrations onto social networking sites, after experiencing difficulties accessing the University's website since the weekend.
Hundreds of students have logged their complaints on the university's official Facebook page and through Twitter.
Many students say they've been unable to upload assignments or download exam timetables since earlier this week, when the website was down.
According to the University, essential electrical maintenance took place this weekend, with more scheduled for the coming weekend.
Unisa's KZN spokesperson Gcina Nhleko says they're unaware of the problems students are facing, but they will investigate.
Nhleko says they've decided to send exam timetables to students via SMS and e-mail.
