Pretoria - South African singer Kurt Darren was transferred from the intensive care unit to the emergency service unit this morning following an accident he was involved over the past weekend.
Darren was a passenger with two other people in a car that rolled and landed in a ditch in Kameelfontein outside Pretoria. He is being treated at the Netcare Milpark Hospital after he broke eight ribs and is experiencing problems with his short-term memory.
His manager, Louis van Wyk, says there is no brain damage and he suffered no internal bleeding.
Darren's wife, Dunay, returned to the country this morning. She has cancelled a cruise in Europe to be at her husband’s side.
