Mahikeng - The N18 will be closed from the corner of Dr James Moroka drive going towards Vryburg in the North West province today for the 16th annual '60s music festival at Lotlamoreng Dam in Mahikeng.
Traffic will be diverted to alternative routes linking up with the N18.
Police have meanwhile warned partygoers who don't behave that they will spend the weekend in jail.
Spokesperson, Emelda Setlhako said the provincial joint operation centre is on alert.
It consists of officials from Mmabatho, Mahikeng and Lichtenburg, police dog and explosives units, disaster management, the flying squad, emergency medical services, fire services and intelligence agencies among others.
The annual party starts today.
