NC teenage murder suspects' case postponed─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 18:00 Fri, 18 Oct 2019
The case against three 17-year-old Northern Cape learners, accused of murdering a fellow 17-year-old learner, Itumeleng Witbooi, has been postponed to 1 November.
The trio face charges of murder for allegedly attacking Witbooi with stones after a fight broke out at Blinkklip Secondary School in Postmasburg, last week.
It is alleged the incident occurred after an altercation between the pupils. Police Spokesperson, Olebogeng Tawana, previously told OFM News the three were arrested following the attack, while Witbooi was transported to hospital for medical treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The teenagers appeared in the local Magistrate Court on Friday and remain in custody. Witbooi will meanwhile be buried in Postmasburg this weekend.
