Cape Town stilt walker murder case resumes─── 05:30 Wed, 09 Jul 2014
Cape Town - A mental observation report of one of two men implicated in the murder of a Cape Town stilt walker could be presented to the Western Cape High Court on Tuesday.
Kyle Maspero, 18, had been ordered to undergo observation at the Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital a month ago after his lawyer told the court he had difficulty receiving instructions from him.
He and Godfrey Scheepers, 20, were arrested for the murder of Rosemary Theron and defeating the ends of justice.
Theron's daughter Phoenix Racing Cloud, 19, reportedly had a role in her mother's killing and entered into a plea bargain with the State in May.
She admitted to helping her boyfriend Maspero strangle her 39-year-old mother with a rope in her home in Fish Hoek on March 7 last year.
Scheepers allegedly helped the two move the body and rebury it in a shallow grave.
