Zeerust man given eight life sentences─── 11:32 Tue, 16 Dec 2014
Zeerust - 38-year-old Batshabeng Joseph Motsame, from Dinokana village in Zeerust, has been sentenced to eight life terms.
In the Mahikeng High Court he was also yesterday given 269 years for murder, attempted murder, rape, kidnaping, unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition, robbery with aggravating circumstances, sexual assault, and attempted robbery.
Motsame was arrested after a body of a female was found dumped on the bushes next to the road at Mosweu village in Zeerust.She was raped, killed and her body mutilated.
Motsame was then also linked to other cases of murder, rape and kidnapping that occurred in 2011 and 2012 at Motswedi, Zeerust, Madikwe and Lehurutshe area.
