───   THANDI THANDI 09:43 Sat, 27 Jun 2015

Bethlehem - A gas stove is suspected to have caused the fire that razed a well-known lodge in Bethlehem in the Eastern Free State.

Manager of Stoepstories, a restaurant attached to La Croché guesthouse, Phil Lee says the entire guest house burnt down but fortunately no one was injured.

Police spokesperson Mmako Mophiring says they are investigating the exact cause of the blaze but a gas stove could be to blame.

The guesthouse had 30 rooms and according to Lee they all went up in flames.
