Bloemfontein, 18 August 2009 - Young and upcoming OFM radio personality, Kenzy Vinco will be one of the judges for this year's Jip and MK Rockspaaider reality show.

Rockspaaider is a battle of the bands competition for high school learners. The aim of the show is to open up opportunities for tomorrow's music legends. The competition has been a Jip project for the past few years and this year they are teaming up with the Afrikaans music channel MK to turn the band search into a reality TV show.

Vinco, together with four other judges from the music industry - Elma Smit from Studio 1, Fritz, lead singer of the band Ef-El, Bouwer Bosch lead singer of the band Straatligkinders and Marzahn Botha editor of the Beeld Jip journal will travel the country with the television cameras in search of new talent. The best of the regional legs will play against each other and compete for the title of Rockspaaider winner 2009.

The show will air on MK channel 324 from 16 September 2009.

I am extremely excited to be part of the show", says Kenzy. “It does mean that I have to finish my show on a Thursday night, then jump into my car and travel to Johannesburg to catch the next plane with the crew to who knows where, but I’m loving every moment of it! I can’t wait to hear and see what young South African bands have to offer!”
