DA NW questions ANC's #Bosasa election funding─── PULANE CHOANE 09:29 Tue, 22 Jan 2019
The DA in the North West's Joe McGluwa says the party has submitted written questions to all provincial government departments in an effort to get answers on allegations made by former COO of Bosasa Angelo Agrizzi during the ongoing Zondo Commission.
Agrizzi made damning revelations which place senior ANC officials in the party at the centre of a money laundering scandal said to be worth at least R3 million.
It is alleged that these funds were illegally channelled from Bosasa to the North West Provincial Government for electioneering purposes. The DA in the province will now look into all tendered contracts between Bosasa and the provincial government during the 2010/2011 financial year.
McGluwa said questions he's sent to the provincial departments are with specific regards to how many contracts the provincial government had with the said company and will look at the contract values per specific contract, the products and services which were rendered under each respective contract.
The party has also sent questions on who sat in the bid adjudication committees, which decides who gets government tenders in each department as well as the dates these committees sat on.
