Hundreds turn up for Ramaphosa’s address─── SAZLY HARTZENBERG 11:10 Sat, 02 Feb 2019
Residents from the Northern Cape showed up in their numbers this morning to be addressed by the president of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa.
Many residents answered that they attend with the hope that this address will bring about positive change to their province.
Crime and drugs are some of the grievances the residents mentioned. OFM News spoke to Amanda Scott from Postmasburg in the Northern Cape, who said that she came here today to hear nothing but positive things. Scott further said that she hopes that all the promises made here today will be kept because the Northern Cape is in need of change.
The president is yet to address the crowd.
OFM News previously reported that president Cyril Ramaphosa is in the Northern Cape province this weekend where he is expected to address the Kimberley community at the Galeshewe Stadium later today. Ramaphosa’s visit is part of the ANC’s people manifesto launch ahead of the general elections in May.
