FS police confiscate drugs on bus line worth millions─── LUCKY NKUYANE 08:31 Wed, 13 Mar 2019

The Free State police on Monday confiscated drugs worth R2,46 million weighing 177,23 kg.
Police spokesperson, Thabo Covane, tells OFM News that the drug bust incident follows a tip-off after the bus line's staff member became suspicious as five bags were not tagged and could not be accounted for. He says the bus was travelling between Pretoria and Plettenberg Bay and when it arrived in Bloemfontein, the bags were spotted when others were taken out. Covane says the police were contacted and will leave no stone unturned in the matter.
"The police at Park Road Police Station were alerted and on arrival at the Tourism Centre, they inspected the bags and found Mandrax tablets, edged ‘Boss’,” adds Covane. "The drugs were divided into transparent bags, estimated to be five hundred tablets inside each bag,” he concluded.
The police seized the drugs and no suspect has been arrested yet. An investigation has been launched to establish the origin and destination of drugs.
