Police spokesperson, Mamello Mokhouane, tells OFM News that the six were arrested in connection to the alleged murder of another gang member, the 20-year-old Sandile Motsie.

She says the gangsters had allegedly been on the rampage in a newly established residential area in Thabong since Thursday, where they chased Motsie down and later stabbed him to death.

Motsie allegedly ran to a friend’s house seeking refuge when all six gang members entered the house. He was declared dead at the scene.

Mokhouane says a case of murder has been opened for further investigation.

She adds four of the six gang members were arrested at their homes in Thabong while the other two were in hiding when they were arrested by police.

Meanwhile, the Thabong Cluster Commander, Apaphia Modise, thanked the police for the swift arrests of these six.

Mokhouane says Modise further warned those who are affiliated with gangs and committing heinous crimes that police are on their trail.

"We will not rest until we ensure that they face the might of the law,” concluded Modise.
