The spokesperson of the Metro’s Centlec power entity, Lele Mamatu, said a team of technicians were investigating possible reasons behind this.

The power outages affected most areas in Bloemfontein. Before the end of business on Monday afternoon power supply to most areas was restored. Mamatu has since apologised for the power interruption and said speculations that the power outages are related to the recent incident where a suspected cable thief was electrocuted on Friday at a substation in Naval Hill, are incorrect.
