The police spokesperson, Dimakatso Mooi, tells OFM News that the trio will appear in court to face a charge of a business burglary.  Mooi says it is alleged that the alarm at the plant was triggered on Friday and police reacted swiftly after the officers spotted a bakkie at the scene, which then sped off as the police vehicle approached.

she further adds that the police then started mobilising the neighbouring police stations and the bakkie was found abandoned on a farm 15km from Strydenburg.

She says with the assistance of the farm workers, the suspects, aged 24, 36, and 41, were found hiding on the farm and were arrested and six solar panels to the value of R30 000 and 12 cellphone tower batteries were confiscated.
