Don’t sing for leaders who are still alive: Magashule─── 14:46 Mon, 20 May 2019
ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule at the weekend urged party members to never sing songs about leaders who are still alive, because they are going to think that they are more important than the organisation.
Magashule was addressing scores of party supporters at the commemoration of the life and times of ANC stalwart Walter Sisulu at the Waaihoek Methodist Church in Bloemfontein.
The commemoration was attended by among other NEC members Lindiwe Zulu, Lindiwe Sisulu, and Bathabile Dlamini. He said these leaders often are promoted by the media and they think they are more important than the ANC itself.
Magashule further reiterated the ANC’s mandate, which includes land expropriation without compensation, the nationalising of the Reserve Bank, achieving free education as well as stopping the privatisation of state-owned enterprises.
