Police spokesperson, Adéle Myburgh, says the trio got arrested following a police chase after they were tipped off that three men dumped the body of a woman in her forties at a farm at Sundrift near Brits. She says reports suggest that farm workers at Sundrift saw the suspects who were travelling in a white Volkswagen Golf, dumping the body of a woman. They alerted their employer, who reported the incident to the police, who then chased after the suspect’s vehicle that was spotted on the R511 between Brits and Thabazimbi. She says the suspects, aged between 30 and 49, were arrested after their car made a U-turn during the chase and collided with a police vehicle.

Myburgh adds that no-one was injured during the incident and investigations into the case continues.

It is alleged that the suspects offered the woman a lift in the Brits area, then later killed her. The woman’s body was found with numerous injuries, including multiple stab wounds and a fractured skull.

She is further appealing to anyone who might have information about the trio or might know anything about the woman, who is yet to be identified, to come forward.
