‘Ramaphosa must act and stop dreaming’ - Malema─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 13:12 Fri, 21 Jun 2019
EFF Leader Julius Malema says president Cyril Ramaphosa must deal with corruption in his party and stop ‘dreaming’.
Malema says the country is in desperate need of economic emancipation and the time for dreams has long gone.
Addressing members of the public and EFF supporters post his court appearance in Bloemfontein, Malema said the country is in need of leadership that will deal with corruption, ensure adequate municipal services, quality healthcare and education to its people.
He said Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) last night was nothing but a dream, of things that should have already been accomplished.
He appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court for contravening the apartheid-era Riotous Assemblies Act and incited party members to commit a crime, by occupying any vacant land they came across.
Malema further alluded to the controversial Vrede Dairy farm project in the Free State where over R220 million earmarked to help farmers was siphoned off from the Free State into the Gupta-linked Estina account.
He says Ramaphosa must focus on dealing with such issues, and stop dreaming.
