Meanwhile, the site has been left uncovered and vandalised with some of the material stolen. Mamabolo inspected the site as part of his unannounced visits to various departmental projects in the Vaal area, after Gauteng Premier David Makhura’s call for an activist government in his recent State of the Province Address. Mamabolo has committed to engage with the implementing department so the project can be completed without the further squandering of public funds.
