Attempted murder suspect arrested in Evaton─── 11:19 Thu, 18 Jul 2019
A 27-year-old notorious suspect from Evaton, north of Sebokeng in Gauteng, was arrested for the attempted murder of Zone 3 tavern owner and chairperson of the Evaton Liquor Board Forum, Eric Bambisa.
The suspect, who is also from Zone 3, shot and wounded Bambisa this past Sunday afternoon, 14 July, while he was busy serving his customers. Bambisa was rushed to the Levai Mbatha Clinic and was later transferred to the Sebokeng Hospital due to the significance of his wounds.
Sedibeng SAPS Communication Officer, Captain Moopeloa, said the police and management team would like to thank members of the community who were brave enough to alert the Police Tracing Team which led to the arrest of the perpetrator. The suspect will appear before the Sebokeng Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of attempted murder.
