The recent damning financial municipal report by Auditor-General (AG) Kimi Makwetu is also expected to be at the top of the agenda during this meeting in Welkom in the Matjhabeng Municipality. The MEC, Thembeni Ngxangisa's meeting with the CFO's comes a day after the Premier, Sisi Ntombela, announced during her 2019/20 budget vote speech that she will bring in the necessary capacity to ensure that the provincial government receives clean audit reports from the AG in the coming years.
