Members of SAPS walked for about 3km from Beaconsfield to the Greenpoint Community Hall to hand over blankets and food parcels to senior citizens. Vilakazi addressed residents and stated that crime can be combated if they report to the police and urged the community members to work together with SAPS to not buy stolen products but rather report individuals. The SAPS Provincial Band graced the community with beautiful music as people sang and danced along. The purpose of the event was to inspire people to give whatever possible and eradicate crime by working together with the police.
