This is according to a spokesperson from the MidVaal Municipality: Development and Planning, Mokete Motsamai, during an exclusive interview with OFM News yesterday. Motsamai, who is also responsible for housing, says he took his team to visit the informal settlement, adding that this was to better understand the challenges faced by the community. 

Earlier this year the Sicelo residents blocked the municipal road, demanding service delivery from the municipality. Motsamai will further engage with the community and its leaders in an attempt to eradicate shacks and to bring better services in the area. The municipality will start implementing its plans from next week.
