Toddler dies after falling into drain─── 13:43 Mon, 29 Jul 2019
A two-year-old child died after falling into a one-meter long drain at Jantoor Hostel in Thabong, Free State.
The incident happened on Sunday afternoon, 28 July 2019. According to the police spokesperson, Mamello Mokhuoane, the toddler was rushed to hospital by her father and was declared dead upon arrival.
It is alleged that the incident happened when the toddler played with friends and fell into the drain. Mokhuoane urged parents to always have an eye on their children and know where they are in order to ensure that they are safe.
