Mangaung Metro spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, says their technical team is on the ground attending to the problem. Khedama says the metro would like to apologise to Bloemfontein residents for the interruption.

A reliable source who wants to remain anonymous told OFM News the Mangaung Metro did not pay for chemicals to purify the water, and now rather use technical problems as an excuse.

While the Metro would not go into detail regarding the exact reasons behind the water reduction, DA Mangaung Councillor Rossouw Botes says “the north's reservoir is empty. As of early this morning, they have no water or poor pressure”. The south’s reservoir is low and is currently being filled with water.
