Central SA ladies to summit Kilimanjaro─── 10:56 Sun, 04 Aug 2019
This Women’s Month, two Central South African women from Vodacom will attempt to summit Mount Kilimanjaro on Women’s Day as part of the Trek4Mandela expedition, which aims to raise funds to buy sanitary towels for underprivileged school girls.
Mamello Selamolela and Marelize Beukes will be leaving for Tanzania today. They told OFM that there are various ways in which the community can get involved …
Marelize says they have an sms pledge line where people can “text Marelize or Mamello to 42 513 and pledge R30 towards the cause”. The duo has also partnered with PEP stores, so that people in the Northern Cape and Free State can go to a store near them and donate sanitary pads.
Selamolela and Beukes will be climbing alongside former Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela.
