Mooidraai site allocation tempered with─── 16:44 Mon, 19 Aug 2019
Some councillors in the Metsimaholo Local Municipality in the Free State allegedly tampered with the allocation of sites at Mooidraai.
This after physically issuing sites and allowing people to inhabit the land. This comes after the announcement that was made by Mayor Lindiwe Tshongwe during the 2019/20 State Of The Municipality Address. She stated that the land will be available from 1 July 2019, which was not the case. This led to people occupying the land illegally.
When asked about the matter, Metsimaholo spokesperson, Gino Alberts, said the matter is now before the Bloemfontein High Court and he cannot provide any comment to OFM News’ Jabulani Radebe. Meanwhile, the once vacant land is being occupied with shacks.
