Council sitting to discuss Matlosana Municipal Manager disrupted─── LUCKY NKUYANE 14:38 Wed, 28 Aug 2019
The local council in Matlosana, which includes Klerksdorp in North West, was set to discuss the controversial municipal manager Theetsi Nkhumise on Tuesday - however the council sitting was disrupted not once but three times.
An anonymous source told OFM News the council was disrupted before it could table a damning report by Auditor General (AG) Kimi Makwetu that links the city manager to financial irregularities.
The source says some community members who disrupted the council are known around the community of Matlosana, and are believed to be on the payroll of Nkhumise.
Despite an inquiry sent to the municipal officials, OFM News did not receive any response by the time of broadcasting this story.
OFM News previously reported that the Mayor of the Municipality, Maetu Kgaile, rejected earlier reports that the municipal manager allegedly failed to disclose his alleged criminal record.
