The Free State Cheetahs and Golden Lions are coming head to head this Saturday in the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein. This is the Cheetahs' first Currie Cup final since 2016.

Commercial Manager of the Free State Cheetahs, Kobus le Roux, stated that by lunch 30 000 tickets have already been sold. This includes suite, season and open stand tickets.

Le Roux says they expect that tickets will soon be sold out. He advises people to buy their tickets as soon as possible. The Toyota Stadium's capacity is 40 000. Approximately 20 000 tickets were sold for the semi-finals in Bloemfontein this past weekend. The Free State Cheetahs expect that the stadium will be filled to its full capacity this weekend.

The Main Twizza Stand tickets cost R150 for adults and R100 for children or students. The open stand tickets cost R100 for adults and R50 for children or students. Tickets are available online at www.fscheetahs.co.za or at the ticket office at the Toyota Stadium's Gate 8 in Att Horak Avenue. Ticket office hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30.

The Lions secured their place in the top two after a gripping game against the Griquas with a score 34-19. The Lions won the Currie Cup last in 2015. The Cheetahs won their spot in the finals after their electrifying match against the Sharks this past weekend with a score of 51-30.

The game will start at 17:00 on Saturday 7 September. This will definitely be a hair-raising match. Be sure not to miss this event. You can support the Cheetahs by dressing in orange this Friday, celebrating #OrangeFriday.
