Man struck by train in Heidedal─── LUCKY NKUYANE 16:04 Mon, 16 Sep 2019
The body parts of a man who was struck by a train in Heidedal, Bloemfontein, on Monday morning 16 September 2019 are scattered across the railway tracks.
OFM News spoke to an eyewitness who says he saw the man throwing himself at the oncoming train. He says the gruesome incident occurred hours ago.
Local authorities, which include the fire brigade and police, are on the scene to investigate and obtain more information on the circumstances of the incident.
OFM News understands that some body parts are still stuck underneath the stationary locomotive. Another local resident says she can't start imagining what could have driven the man to commit suicide.
More and more residents are seen gathering at the scene with the hopes to get some clarity about what might have happened.
Officers on the scene tell OFM News that the identity of the man remains a mystery for now. This is a developing story.
