Woman’s body discovered at Kakamas─── 11:39 Tue, 01 Oct 2019
The body of a woman, believed to be in her early 30’s, was discovered in the veld at Kakamas, in the Northern Cape.
On Sunday afternoon a passer-by alerted the police, who responded swiftly to the call. Police spokesperson, Olebogeng Tawana, says the woman’s throat was slit and her body was half-naked. The woman was wearing a brown jersey, blue denim, black wig, and brown shoes.
“The body has not been identified yet and the police are appealing to the community to come forward with any information that can link a suspect to the case and bring the perpetrators of the atrocity to book.”
Northern Cape SAPS stoutly condemns the horrific criminal act after the discovery. The gruesome discovery was made on 29 September 2019 and there have been no leads to the case yet. Police are still investigating. Any information will be treated with confidentiality.
