Northern Bfn suburbs could have water by tonight─── OLEBOGENG MOTSE 16:04 Mon, 28 Oct 2019
The Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality assures residents in the northern suburbs of Bloemfontein that significant progress has been made in repairing the damage at the Maselspoort Water Treatment Plant.
Mangaung spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, says their engineers are at present sealing the Maselspoort line and they expect to have water restored to the northern suburbs by 18:00. The affected areas include Dan Pienaar and Heuwelsig.
Less than 70kms away from the Free State capital, residents in Section J, K and F in Botshabelo also faced water interruptions today. Khedama says this was due to repair work that had to be done to the mainline. He says the water should be restored by 16:00.
