Officials at the Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital (RMSH) in Kimberley in the Northern Cape urgently seek the next-of-kin of one of their patients who has been at the facility since mid-September 2019.
The Northern Cape Health Department says attempts to track down the relatives and/or friends of the 38-year-old Benjamin van Wyk, who resides in the Galeshewe township, have not yielded any results nearly two months since his admission. Spokesperson Lulu Mxekezo says Van Wyk was first admitted to the Galeshewe Day Hospital on 18 September 2019. He was later transferred to RMSH the very next day, where he has been since.
Members of the public who may have information on the whereabouts of Van Wyk’s loves ones are requested to contact the Kimberley-based hospital’s social work unit.
