Suspected Bloemspruit robber to appear in Bloemfontein court─── LUCKY NKUYANE 11:08 Sun, 15 Dec 2019
One of the suspected robbers who was arrested following a robbery in Bloemspruit, where a couple in their 70's were brutally assaulted, will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s court on Tuesday.
The Free State police's spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo, tells OFM News that another suspected robber was shot and killed by security officials who responded to an alarm after the suspects reportedly broke into the house and tied up the couple.
She says these robbers were armed with a panga and hammer, and allegedly attacked the two security guards as well.
Mbambo adds the security guards retaliated and shot one of the suspects, who died at the scene.
