Police in the Free State has launched an investigation into the death of an 8-year-old boy in Koffiefontein on Tuesday, 24 December 2019.
Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, told OFM News that Phemelo Mpasetla allegedly played with his friends in Tau Street before being fatally electrocuted. He adds that the deceased was allegedly leaning on an electric pole according to information. Makhele said the 8-year-old was rushed to a local doctor for medical care, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
