The municipal spokesperson, Willie Maphosa, says the municipality’s main complex, the Dan Tloome Building, has been closed after one of its employees tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday. He says the building will be shut down until Friday while it is being disinfected.

Maphosa, says rates payers who want to do walk-ins, can access other rates halls in Ikakgeng, Promosa and Ventersdorp.

He further says the municipality regrets the inconvenience, however, the safety and security of the community remains important.

OFM News previously reported that the same building was closed late last month after a positive case was confirmed at this building. Also, this municipality’s offices was forced to close its doors after a staff member who works in the electricity section was confirmed positive last month.
