#CoronavirusFS: CMG offices close temporarily | News Article

The management of the Central Media Group (CMG) closed its Central Media Park offices with immediate effect on Thursday afternoon after it became known that one of its employees tested positive for Covid-19.

According to Nick Efstathiou, CEO of CMG, the building will now be subject to stringent deep-cleaning processes as prescribed by government regulations.

All operations are now remote, and OFM continues to broadcast uninterrupted, remotely, until 18:00 on Thursday, then back to normal as the studios have been disinfected, deep-cleaned and sanitised.

“Once all the protocols are followed to ensure the building is safe for all staff members, the building will be reopened for staff on Tuesday, 28 July 2020. Until then, all staff members will work remotely,” said Efstathiou.

He added that since the national lockdown took effect on 26 March 2020, CMG has followed protocol to the letter as far as social distancing as well as the sanitising of buildings and equipment are concerned.

“Our internal Covid-19 committee are convening regular meetings to ensure that we stay up to date with changes in regulation and actually implement those changes. However, this case is proof once more that no person or company is immune to this virus that is currently wreaking havoc in our country.

“We will continue to be vigilant in our management of the pandemic within in our work environment, in order to keep rendering the best possible service to our clients,” said Efstathiou.

He also conveyed his, and the entire company’s best wishes to the affected staff member, and ensured staff of management’s continued support during this uncertain time.

“We will render the necessary support to the affected staff member to assist him on his path to a speedy recovery,” concluded Efstathiou.
