Police spokesperson, Mohale Ramatseba, says it is currently unknown who the remains belong to as they’re awaiting for Forensic Fire Investigators and Forensic Anthropologists to attend the scene of this weekend’s fire.

OFM News previously reported that the body of a seven-year-old girl was still missing after the events of the fire were revealed. The fire happened whilst three families from Ceres in the Western Cape were on holiday.

Ramatseba says: ‘’It cannot be confirmed at this stage whether the bones are of the missing girl. Identification will be confirmed as soon as experts have concluded their investigation.’’
