This follows after the 19-year-old boy and his accomplice allegedly overpowered a 51-year-old shop assistant inside the shop in Morokweng Village on the 27 August 2020. 

The police spokesperson, Adele Myburgh, states that the suspects allegedly took money from a cash register and one of them took off. She explains that the shop assistant was assaulted during the argument while trying to prevent the suspects. The shop assistant, however, managed to grab and hold one of the suspects and called the police. He was subsequently arrested.
