Forensic investigations in NW fast-tracked─── MARVIN NTSANE 11:11 Thu, 10 Sep 2020
Methods to fast-track investigations of forensics in the North West are being attended to.
This as provincial Health MEC, Madoda Sambatha, will be handing over a total of nine forensic pathology vehicles at the Bophelo Clinic in Rulaganyang, Wolmaransstad, on Thursday.
The departmental spokesperson, Tebogo Lekgethwane, explains that this increased capacity will assist forensic medical examiners indirectly in determining the causes of death at a faster rate.
He emphasises that the increased capacity of forensic pathology is necessary, especially during the scourge of the Covid-19 pandemic. He also says that these vehicles are quick to respond to scenes.
Lekgethwane says all the districts in the province will receive these vehicles. This follows the recent opening of a forensic pathology center in the town of Brits.
