Motsamai was arrested last week at the Evaton Mall after an altercation with a police officer during the Clicks protests where the shop's glass door was broken.

Last week Tuesday, police spokesperson Brigadier Vish Naidoo said Motsamai was arrested and released on R500 bail the very same evening, adding he was expected to appear before the Sebokeng Magistrate's Court on Monday.

Motsamai told EFF supporters, who were singing outside court, that his docket was lost at the Evaton Police Station and his case is not registered in court.

In 1989, Motsamai was arrested for killing a traffic officer, and in 2019 he became a member of Parliament under the EFF.

EFF Sedibeng regional chairperson, Isaac Khithika, told OFM News that he is delighted with the court outcome.
