Supporters of top Free State ANC officials accused of fraud, corruption and money laundering in the controversial R255 million asbestos case, claim psychological warfare is being waged against people perceived to be close allies of Ace Magashule.

ANC member, Malefu Mofokeng, who on Friday braced the rainy and cloudy weather in Bloemfontein in support of Olly Mlamleli during her bail hearing at the city's Magistrate Court, says state resources are being used to wage this war.

She adds people are trying, by all means, to nab the former Free State premier and current ANC Secretary-General (SG). Mofekeng adds many allegations have been made against Magashule but to date, no-one has come forward with a shred of evidence to prove their claims.

"Now they are just using the strategy to intimidate the people who are supporting him. We say we’re not going to stop supporting him whether they arrest all of us, and we are saying we’re all prisoners of freedom and the economy until Magashule is the president of the people," she adds.

Meanwhile, Thandiwe Gulo from the Socialist Revolutionary Workers Party (SRWP) lashed out at Olly and the ANC for allegedly being part of the corrupt activities in the country.

"People of Mangaung have been suffering, unemployment is at the order of the day in Bloemfontein, Thaba Nchu, Botshabelo and Wepener. She came here to convey our money to her handlers, " she adds.

The Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court granted Mlamleli and her six co-accused bail of between R50 000 and R500 000.
