The centre was targeted on Monday night, with computers and other equipment stolen. It is reported that food parcels that were meant for needy families, were also stolen.

Community leader, Thabiso Maphuko, says there are families that are dependent on the food parcels, as parents are unemployed.

He adds people are scared to be community patrollers, as some of the criminals are heavily armed and dangerous.

Maphuko is, however, optimistic that the community will assist the police with the necessary information. No arrest has been made, while police investigations continue.
