Ntombela's spokesperson, Sello Peterson, told OFM News that the premier will be visiting these families on Thursday. He says premier was, however, still finalising finer details with the families in relation to the visit.

Seven children between the ages of 4 and 13 died on Sunday after the vehicle they were travelling in was swept away following heavy rains. An adult man who was the driver also died after his heroic attempt to save them from drowning unfortunately failed.

Only two men survived the ordeal. On Sunday, only six of the children were retrieved from the water by the police while the seventh child, 7-year-old Karabo Kok, was only retrieved from the water on Monday afternoon.

This incident has since sent shock waves through that area and across the country.

OFM News previously reported that the Local Moqhaka Municipality, sent its heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. The speaker of the local municipality, Selloane Riba, told OFM News that they were deeply saddened by the incident.
