Unrest in Kimberley─── 11:28 Mon, 26 Apr 2021
Unrest continues in Kimberley as residents took to the streets of the Northern Cape city on Monday morning.
Irate locals are reportedly demanding answers from the Sol Plaatje local municipality, after issues in the past few weeks, such as water shortages.
In an interview with OFM News, provincial police spokesperson Dimakatso Mooi says police are currently trying to contain the situation.
Mooi further says roads leading in and out of Kimberley are currently closed.
This includes the N8 and the R31.
OFM News submitted questions to the Sol Plaatje Mayor’s Office, and is awaiting a response.
