A peaceful meeting is planned by Ritchie residents in the Northern Cape while a number of protests have been reported in Central South Africa.
Residents of this small town about 40km from the diamond city, Kimberley, are expected to meet on Wednesday to raise issues they are struggling with as a community. Some of the issues include waste management, cleaning of dumps and streets, and sewage spillage in the area of the town.
According to councillor Bonsile Makhamba, no protests are expected to take place when they will try to address some of their issues.
