MEC Sambatha to conduct oversight visits at vaccination sites─── 10:15 Mon, 17 May 2021
The North West Health MEC, Madoda Sambatha, will conduct an oversight visit to Covid-19 vaccination sites in the province starting on Monday.
Sambatha is expected to visit the vaccination site at Witrand Hospital in Potchefstroom in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality, the district has last week indicated its readiness for phase 2 of vaccinations to begin on Monday.
The departmental spokesperson, Tebogo Lekgethwane, says the objective of the visit is to assess the progress of vaccinations of elderly people over the ages of 60.
Sambatha will on Tuesday visit Sonop Old Age Home in Rustenburg in Bojanala, and will proceed to Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati and Naka Modiri Molema districts during the week.
