This follows the incident where the victim and his friend were stabbed with a spear, leaving his friend dead after he was rushed to a nearby hospital in Prieska. 

According to the provincial police spokesperson, Sergio Kock, the case against the three suspects has been postponed to 2 July 2021 for a formal bail application following their appearance in the Prieska Magistrate’s Court on 9 June. Kock says the identities of all involved are currently confidential.

Kock says the incident took place on 6 June 2021, where the three suspects had an alleged altercation with the two victims in a well-known tavern in Prieska. Kock says after the incident escalated, the two victims were stabbed by the suspects. Kock confirms the suspects were arrested shortly after the incident.
