OFM News understands the deceased child was hit by a light motor vehicle after allegedly trying to cross the road after picking wood in the area.

The distraught and very emotional family of the deceased was found on the scene of the accident.

The mother of the child was later brought to the scene and broke down in tears and collapsed. She demanded to see the body of her deceased child whilst the police were on the scene, reporting the incident.

The family of the deceased was visibly upset after the alleged driver of the car left with the police to the police station.

They wanted to know why he was allowed to leave the scene. This is a developing story and the police are yet to comment.
