Seven suspects, arrested in connection with drugs and illegal ammunition, are expected to appear before the Petrus Steyn Magistrate's Court this week.
The suspects were arrested this weekend following a search and seizure operation at a house in Mamafubedu township near Petrus Steyn.
Police spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo, says the police deployed from Bethlehem made the arrest following a tip-off about unlicensed firearms and drugs being harboured and sold at the house. She said upon their search, sachets of nyaope, bags of crystal meth and an undisclosed amount of cash as well as ammunition were found.
She confirms six men aged between 25 and 32, including a 24-year-old woman, were arrested.
They are due to appear in court on Wednesday 7 July.
